TOP-UP SCHOLARSHIP IN THE CENTRE FOR HUMAN AND SOCIAL CAPITAL RESEARCH, UNIVERSITY OF WOLLONGONG
One or more top-up scholarships are available to PhD or Masters by Research students who take up APA / UPA scholarships in 2011, supervised by members of the Centre for Human and Social Capital Research (CHSCR). Domestic and international students are eligible. The successful student(s) will receive $5,000 pa for a maximum of 3.5 years for a PhD and 2 years for a Masters by Research, in addition to the APA / UPA stipend (currently $22,500 pa). The criteria for awarding the scholarship(s) will be:
1) Academic strength and research potential of the candidate; and
2) Alignment with research interests of the Centre.
Currently, CHSCR consists of 8 academic economists. CHSCR research covers areas within education, health, household-time allocation, labour markets, poverty, inequality & welfare, productivity, and social-capital networks. Applicants should contact potential supervisors within the CHSCR to discuss their proposed research prior to applying.
