Senior Economic Analyst
  
The Senior Economic Analyst is responsible for analysing, interpreting and communicating the impacts of direct and indirect economic influences on tourism behaviour and intention.
You will be responsible for:
·         Leading the development, implementation and review of macro and micro economic influences on tourism
·         Providing accurate and relevant statistical tourism data and research for Tourism Queensland staff, government, media and other external users
·         Initiating analysis and/or processes to facilitate the development of successful marketing/business strategies/policy development
·         Identifying and communicating economic trends in Queensland tourism
 
 You will have:
·         Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse economic and research data, including an ability to develop and apply sophisticated statistical modeling techniques
·         Practical experience and understanding of how economic variables impact on a variety of industry sectors
·         Well developed written and oral communication skills
·         Demonstrated team leadership capability
·         Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and economic principles
·         Tertiary qualifications at an undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in the fields of business, economics, aviation, transport or tourism related discipline
