ABARE’s 2010 Vacation Employment Program

  Applications for ABARE’s 2010 Vacation Employment Program are now open

 Each year ABARE offers up to ten places for third year students in their penultimate year, majoring in economics or related discipline, for employment during the university vacation in January and February. Preferred applicants will be performing at honours level.

 ABARE’s Vacation Employment Program is a great way to obtain paid work prior to entering into an honours year and will also provide a useful perspective on the type of work offered to graduates within the organisation.

 The program normally runs for 6 weeks, during which time Vacation Employees are employed under the terms and conditions of the DAFF Collective Agreement 2009-11. Salaries for Vacation Employees in 2010 will be $38 338 per annum pro rata.

 All ABARE Vacation Employment positions are located in Canberra and will be based in our office on London Circuit, Canberra City.

 Financial assistance is not provided for travel and accommodation. ABARE can assist with general information on accommodation options if required.
