Seeking:
 
(1) a Ph.D. in economic, business, or a field related to inter-cultural,
cross-institutional, or international economic-business studies
 
and
 
(2) a Ph.D. in sociology, anthropology, history, a field related to comparative, inter-cultural, cross-institutional, or international social studies.
 
One of South Korea’s most prestigious academic institutions, Pusan National University, seeks applicants for two full-time, tenure-track or visiting professor positions. You will become a founding member of PNU’s new Global Studies Division: a dynamic, diversified, curriculum taught in English to an elite group of students drawn from the university’s highly-selective student body.
 
There are two openings. One position is for economics, business, or a field related to comparative, inter-cultural, cross-institutional, or international economic-business studies. The second position is for sociology, anthropology, history, or a field related to comparative, inter-cultural, cross-institutional, or social international studies.
 
The applicant must be a native or native-level English speaker. A Ph.D. by the appointment date is acceptable.
 
The entry-level salary for a tenure-track professor is between $40,000-$50,000 (a higher entry salary is available based on experience). The salary for a visiting professor is between $35,000–$40,000. Benefits include a housing allowance, medical coverage, a pension plan, severance pay, and one-way airfare to Korea. Research grants for tenure-track professors may be awarded upon meeting certain conditions. Summer and winter breaks. Duties require teaching 9 credit hours per semester, research/publication, and participation in department activities.
