Introduction
The Economic Record provides a vehicle for the communication of advances in our knowledge and understanding of economics. It publishes papers in the theoretical, applied and policy areas of economics and provides a forum for research on the Australian economy. It also publishes surveys in economics and book reviews to facilitate the dissemination of knowledge.
The Economic Record is the most highly ranked journal in the field of economics in Australia. In the Australian Government’s 2010 Excellence in Research (ERA) Ranked Journal List it received an A rank.
The Economic Record is published by Wiley-Blackwell for the Economic Society of Australia and is forwarded post free to all members. The Economic Record is published four times a year - March, June, September and December. A fifth special issue appears each year containing selected papers from the previous year's Australian Conference of Economists.
